Who We Are
Goats of Music is a wiki-like site dedicated to the greatest musicians of all time.
We are a group of musicians, fans, and obssesive music geeks that want to preserve the history and legacy of the greatest musicians that have ever lived. We grew up with posters on our walls, collecting records/cds/cassettes, and buying concert tickets with the few dollars we could scrounge up. We read lists from Billboard or Rolling Stone about the greatest guitar players of all time and spent countless hours debating whethere or not Hendrix should be higher up than Eddie Van Halen or vice versa. This is an ongoing passion project that we hope will educate, help people discover players, and maybe even get inspired to play more.
Our Story
An old idea brought to life.
I had an idea 10 years ago to build a wiki-style site dedicated to guitar players. As I talked to many young and old players and scoured the internet to deepen my own knowledge about the legends, I found that there was not a central place that organized the info well. I wanted this to serve as a resource for everyone interested in diving a bit deeper into the legendary players out there that we all love, as well as an exploratory deep dive into the lives of these amazing artists.

I am Emil JJ, a guitar player, songwriter, techie, hiker, adventurer, community volunteer, nutrition and excercise practitioner and overall lover of all things positive.
